Why insist on cross-ply hardwoods for our boards?
Cross-ply construction layers the grain in alternating directions, which limits how much the wood moves as it takes on and gives off moisture. That movement is the reason a bathroom is hard on solid timber. It is still real wood: it will pick up character with use, and we don’t make mold-resistance or lifetime claims about it.
Do your bath boards come stained?
No, the standard board does not come stained. We use an OSMO VOC- and solvent-free sealant on all of our boards. It is food-grade safe and helps the board resist warping from moisture. Wood is a natural material, so expect it to age and show a little character over time rather than staying pristine forever.
How do I size the width of my bath board?
The Waverley Bath Board measures 30″ long × 11.75″ wide × 0.75″ thick. Our boards come with laterally adjustable footers so you can slide your board into the perfect snug position in your bath. Use a measuring tape to determine the inches you will need your board to span before ordering, since we can't offer returns for fit.
Does Waverley ship outside North America?
Not yet. We currently ship within Canada only. US shipping is planned but not active.
What is your return policy?
Because this is a personal bath product, we can't accept returns for fit or sizing, so please measure your tub before ordering. We do offer a 15-day return window for agreed product defects.
Can I buy bath board packages in bulk for corporate gifts?
Yes! Bath boards make incredible seasonal corporate gift packages for staff, executives, and clients. Give your team members a package that adds to their personal wellness and relaxation time, or make it a go-to client gift that is unique and creates a positive long-term connection.
What do bath salts do for your body?
Honestly? Mostly they make the water feel good. Bath salts soften the water and carry scent, and a warm soak is relaxing on its own. You will see claims that magnesium is absorbed through the skin and lifts your mood. The evidence for that is thin, so we don’t make it.
Are your candles natural?
The candles in our gift bundles are made by Canadian makers who use soy or beeswax rather than paraffin, and lead-free wicks. Exact ingredients vary by maker; the details are on each maker’s own packaging.
How do our bath boards work in bed?
We're developing a set of stainless steel bed wings (legs) that convert the board into a bed table, so you can enjoy a show and a snack, or work from home, without your feet ever hitting the floor. Not sold yet; check back soon.
Can I sit on my bath board?
We don't recommend it, and we don't publish a weight rating. The board isn't designed, tested, or sold as a seating device.
Is it a mobility aid?
No. This is a premium bath board, not a certified mobility or accessibility device. If you have mobility concerns, consult a healthcare professional for appropriate equipment.
Can I sell your bath boards in my store?
